This versatile pattern will enable you to make three different bags, each of which offers you many creative options and fabric selections. You can make: the 6-inch by 9 1/2-inch Inside-Out Bag A in non-fray fabric with reverse applique designs, the 6-inch by 7-inch Bag B with raw edge fringed sides, or the 5-inch by 4-inch Bag C with fringed sides. All the bags have the original slide closure and cord straps.
Here is your chance to apply your own creativity in selecting fabrics and designs. Bag A can be embellished with any of four reverse applique designs, including the Gingko Leaves, Bamboo, Single Dragonfly, or Double Dragonfly. Bag B can be stenciled with the Triple Gingko Leaves Stencil. All the designs and instructions are included with the pattern. To further customize your bag you can add pockets or fabric-covered cord ends.
You can make the bags using two fabrics that are contrasting, complimentary, or the same colors. Both of the fabrics will show, because the seams are on the outside of the bag. Recommended fabrics are either fabrics that fray easily like hemp, burlap, heavy linen, denim, silk noil, upholstery fabric, and canvas, or fabrics that don’t fray at all, like felted wool, felt, and ultra suede.
